1970s goldtone Florentine finish leaf drops  with 3 drops in the middle, two on either side with a single leaf on the ends bib necklace with hook clasp. Marked "NAPIER" on the hook clasp. Measures: 12 3/4 inches long by 5 3/8 inches wide. Circumference at the largest setting is about 15 1/4 inches. Condition: Very good; minor wear.

Vintage Napier jewelry was made in Meriden, Connecticut and is very high quality and desirable. In the 1950s, jewelry by Napier was worn by celebrities including Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day, Mamie Eisenhower and Miss America. A necklace sold by Napier in the 1980s or 1990s could cost $100 or more. The plant in Meriden was closed in 2000 and the company sold in 2002, so while the company name still exists, the jewelry is now mass produced.
